Standard Policies & Practices

Payments are due up front. For single session consultations, payment is due when the piece is submitted. For workshops and private tutorials, full payment is due at the first meeting. You may pay in cash or with a check.

Consistency is key to every writer's practice. For workshops, it is crucial that every member is present every time for each writer to get the full effect of the setting. Your contributions to the group are very important.

Please avoid canceling private sessions. If you do need to cancel, please allow 24-hour notice. I understand that emergencies and illnesses come up. Please try to reschedule in advance. Without proper notice, sessions may be forfeited, and are not refundable.

Workshops are safe places. Please keep in mind that what we talk about in workshop stays in workshop. Your work and the work of your fellow writers is confidential.

I will not share your work, or comments about your work or others with anyone outside the class or the session without your permission. (This includes conversation within a private session.) Likewise, you are welcome to keep any of my notes given on your work, but I ask you not to share them with anyone.

Space in small group workshops is limited and admission is by application.
