About SHIFT

Jennifer Pashley is the author of the story collection States (Lewis-Clark, 2007) and her stories have appeared widely in journals like Mississippi Review, PANK, Swink, SmokeLong Quarterly, Los Angeles Review and Salt Hill. She has been awarded the Mississippi Review Prize for Fiction (2009), the Red Hen Prize for Fiction (2005) and the Carve Magazine Esoteric Award for LGBT Fiction (2012).

Jennifer has taught creative writing at Syracuse University, and for ten years at the Syracuse YMCA's Downtown Writer's Center, where she also served as workshops coordinator and co-director of the two-year certificate program, DWC PRO. Jennifer has also served as fiction editor for Stone Canoe, as guest editor for SmokeLong Quarterly, and is a regular reader for PANK Magazine. Her proofreading and editing experience encompasses both academic and general interest, scholarly journals, textbooks, as well as advertising copy and collateral materials.
