SHIFT Summer Online Intensive

Want to write this summer? Have trouble fitting a weekly group into your schedule? Join us for an 8-week online fiction intensive! You can participate from anywhere, poolside, at camp, even in your pajamas.

Classes begin the week of July 9th. Fiction assignments and prompts, critical feedback, and connections to other writers that can last a lifetime.

Sessions are conducted online via a secure, private blog. Students may workshop either short stories or excerpts from a novel or novella. Time is spent each week reading, responding to and critiquing others' work, and writing your own -- but you decide when. I will provide both short prompts and detailed writing assignments. Deadlines for stories and comments are specific each week. (For example, stories for workshop must be posted by midnight on Tuesday. Comments due by midnight on Wednesday.)
